LeonLollipop: Please Fill in the Blank
Once In A While is a series of three individual exhibitions by 4 Hong Kong artists TSE Sai-pei, LeonLollipop, Fiona H.S. Chan, and Donna Yuen.
⠀
In the second series of the exhibition, Please Fill in the Blank, the artist LeonLollipop used a canvas full of patterns to make irregular picture frames, rethinking the concept of "blank" in traditional Chinese painting, using animals as a metaphor for modern urbanites, enjoying a leisurely self-style of life in a rich life, like the Koi in imagery 1, in the Chinese charms, the koi fishes are among the most often used Chinese lucky symbols. A koi fish is a type of carp that's often kept for decorative purposes in outdoor ponds. The same holds for goldfishes. These fishes represent prosperity and happiness.
