Shifting Landscapes
Shifting Landscapes is a presentation of artwork by the Hong Kong-based artist Andrew Luk and the Post-war master CHU, Teh-Chun.
Haunted, Salvaged is the large-scale installation by Andrew Luk, which is a huge hanging mobile device with deformed spherical objects on them. These objects are suspended on a steel partition and extend above the ocean where the expanding foam is sprayed. These spheres are constructed using carved and corroded layers of extruded polystyrene foam and the pair between them forms an artificial constellation of imaginary psychological geographic entropy accumulation.
At the other end of the gallery, CHU, Teh-Chun's works use unique techniques to create freehand landscapes with strong colors. While his paintings are immersed in nature and landscape, at the same time his work still remains loyal to abstraction.
