Toby Ziegler

Toby Ziegler's paintings and sculptures carefully arrange the continuous oscillation between abstraction and image, classical composition and its digital processing and confusion. The process usually begins with the misappropriation of the image, which has entered the visual after endless reproductionsubconscious. Then, the image is rendered into a modular plane by computer, processed, developed and modified. If the final result is a sculpture, it needs to be made in three dimensions, usually made of cardboard or wood, or like the most recent work, made of oxidized aluminum skin.
